Myrrh Haslam began her artistic
career in grade school as a dancer and an actress. She worked for years
as a graphic artist before discovering her love for oil painting in
1994. Under the tutelage of Houston artist Efim Frumin, Myrrh studied
the techniques of the great Renaissance Masters.
Myrrh's paintings are classical, full of vibrant color and rich textures, painted on hand prepared canvases of fine Belgian linen. She
specializes in two subjects, still life and portraits. Her paintings capture and enhance the beauty of nature and the unique character of a
person or animal.
Myrrh lives in Houston, TX, with her husband Stephen. As a hobby, she breeds, trains, and shows Shiba Inu dogs. Visit her Shiba Inu Website.
